Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages people read, how they arrive, and which of our recommendations they follow. It sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google. We look at it in aggregate and we do not use it to identify you personally, but it is Google's product and Google receives the data. Google describes what it collects and how it is used in How Google uses information from sites that use our services.
This site does not currently show a cookie-consent prompt, so Google Analytics sets its cookies when a page loads, for every visitor. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
This site participates in Google AdSense. The AdSense script is present on every page of this site.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also set and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons to collect information, as a result of ad serving on this site.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or the NAI opt-out page.
- Google requires a site that serves personalised ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland to ask for their consent through a Google-certified consent tool. This site does not have one yet.
To be straightforward about the current state: display ads are not switched on. The script is on the site so the account can be verified and reviewed, and this section describes what happens when and if ads do serve. We would rather state the rules that will apply than write this page again the day something changes.
Affiliate links and cookies
Some links on our site are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination provider or its affiliate network may set a cookie to track that the referral came from us, so we can be credited for any resulting purchase. The AI Certification Advisor
The chat advisor on this site — the floating “Help me choose” button, and the full-page AI Certification Picker — works entirely in your browser. It matches what you type against a fixed set of situations in a script loaded from this site, and what you type is not sent to OpenAI, to us, or to any other server. It never asks for your name, your email or any account details, and you do not need to identify yourself to use it.
We do not store your conversations, because they never leave your device. Until 12 September 2026 the advisor sent messages to OpenAI to generate its answers; that has been switched off. As with the rest of the site, Google Analytics records that the advisor was opened and which course was recommended — the course identifier and how many turns the conversation took, never the text of what you wrote.
Hosting and forms
This site is hosted by Netlify, which processes the technical data any web host necessarily sees, such as your IP address and browser type, in order to serve the pages to you. The contact form and the newsletter sign-up use Netlify’s form handling, so what you submit is stored on Netlify and emailed to us. Netlify’s practices are set out in their privacy policy. We use what you send only to reply to you or, for the newsletter, to send you the newsletter; we do not sell it or pass it to anyone else.
Third-party websites
Our site links to third-party websites (such as course providers). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it, or to object to certain processing. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. To exercise any rights, please contact us.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
