Preparing for the AWS Certified AI Practitioner exam takes two jobs, in order: learning the material, then finding out whether it stuck. Stephane Maarek sells both on Udemy as separate products. We have already reviewed his practice-exam set, which does the second job and nothing else. This is the first half: the taught course, about ten hours of video that starts from no AWS knowledge at all, and the question here is where it fits between his question bank and the preparation AWS gives away.
What is it?
One Udemy course, bought outright, taught by Stephane Maarek — one of the two instructors behind the AWS Certified AI Practitioner AIF-C01 Practice Exams we have already reviewed. On the course page his byline lists AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect and Developer. Udemy's listing title is "[NEW] Ultimate AWS Certified AI Practitioner AIF-C01". The format is recorded video in English, 10 hours 5 minutes across 148 lectures in 14 sections, with captions listed in Arabic and Bulgarian (both marked auto-generated) and 25 more languages. Its "This course includes" box adds one practice test, assignments, four articles, access on mobile and TV, and a certificate of completion. The page says the course was last updated in September 2026; the course facts here were read off that page in a browser on 25 September 2026, and its full curriculum, with every section expanded, on 26 September 2026.
It is built around one exam. The first line of the page's "what you'll learn" list is "Pass the AWS Certified AI Practitioner Certification AIF-C01", and that exam belongs to AWS, not Udemy. AWS classes AIF-C01 as Foundational and lists it at 100 USD, with a format of 90 minutes and 65 questions. The course's own certificate is not the AWS credential; only passing AWS's exam earns that.
Two things are missing on purpose. We have not scored the course yet, so there is no rating of our own here; the learner figures below are Udemy's. And there is no price: Udemy prices by country, and three loads of the course page in one session on 25 September 2026 did not show the same price each time. Check it on the day you buy.

Those titles line up with the areas our review of the exam describes — generative AI on AWS, responsible AI, security and governance.
The lecture list shows where the ten hours go. The longest section, security at 1 hr 57 min, covers IAM, S3, EC2 and Lambda before Macie, Config, Inspector, CloudTrail, Artifact, Audit Manager, Trusted Advisor and network security. Bedrock's 21 lectures take in foundation models, fine-tuning, model evaluation, RAG and Knowledge Bases, Guardrails, Agents, CloudWatch integration, pricing and Amazon Nova. The AI and machine learning section runs from supervised, unsupervised, self-supervised and reinforcement learning to RLHF, model fit, evaluation metrics and hyperparameters, and the managed-services section gives a lecture or two each to Comprehend, Translate, Transcribe, Polly, Rekognition, Lex, Personalize, Textract, Kendra, Mechanical Turk, Augmented AI and HealthScribe, among others. Titles and lengths show what is covered, not how deeply.
Following along takes an AWS account of your own. The AWS introduction includes "Creating an AWS Account" and "AWS Account Activation Troubleshooting", many later lecture titles end "Hands On", and the fourth section, "Course Cost & AWS Budget Setup", is two lectures, "Course Cost" and "AWS Budget Setup", placed before any AI service. The page does not state what following along costs, and Bedrock has a pricing lecture of its own, so watch that fourth section before you create anything. "Code & Slides Download" is a single article, and the page does not say what the code is for; nothing in the requirements or the learning list involves writing any. That matches the exam, which is not a coding test: AWS's exam guide lists "Developing or coding AI/ML models or algorithms" as out of scope.
The practice exam sits in the thirteenth section, "Preparing for the Exam + Practice Exam - AWS Certified AI Practitioner", beside lectures on a learning checkpoint, sample exam questions, the exam walkthrough and signup, and AWS certification paths. The includes box lists it as "1 practice test" and the page promises it "with Explanations", but Udemy shows no question count for it, or for the quiz that closes nine of the sections, from the AWS introduction to security. Treat them as checks on the way through, not as evidence that you are ready to book. The box also lists "Assignments" without saying what they are.

Level. Udemy's course page labels it Beginner, and we publish it as Beginner too. Nothing on the page argues otherwise: the requirements ask for no background of any kind, and AWS classes the exam as Foundational.
Prerequisites. The Requirements section lists three, each saying what you do not need, quoted as written: "No AWS Cloud experience is necessary", "No IT pre-requisites is necessary" and "No AI pre-requisites is necessary". No coding is required anywhere on the page.

One caution from that guide: AWS's exam page advises newcomers to IT and to AWS to take a cloud foundations course first, naming AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials or AWS Technical Essentials. This course's answer is its "Introduction to AWS & Cloud Computing" section: ten lectures and 39 minutes, from traditional IT and what cloud computing is to an AWS overview, creating an account, a tour of the console and the shared responsibility model. Whether that is enough in place of AWS's own course depends on how new AWS is to you. Take it, too, if you learn better from a teacher on video than from documentation. The course teaches; the practice set only tests — four full exams, 260 questions and no video, as its own page says and our review of it confirms. We rate AWS Certified AI Practitioner AIF-C01 Practice Exams 4.0 / 5, as a diagnostic to use after study rather than instead of it. Its learner evidence is its own: 9,062 ratings averaging 4.5 out of 5 from 94,724 learners, as Udemy showed them on 24 September 2026.
The order matters more than the choice: 260 questions sat before you know the material mostly tell you the exam is hard. Work through the course, use its included practice exam as a first check, then sit the four full papers and book AWS's exam only when you pass them comfortably. If you can buy only one, match it to where you are: this course if the material is new, the papers if it is not.
AWS's own free preparation. As our AWS certifications guide sets out, every AWS exam page links an Exam Prep Plan on AWS Skill Builder, and the free tier includes Official Practice Question Sets — 20-question sets that "demonstrate the style of our certification exams" — and Exam Prep courses that "explore an exam's topic areas and review sample certification questions for each domain". For AI Practitioner, AWS also includes "free AI foundational training" in the plan. Full-length Official Practice Exams, labs and extra practice questions need a paid Skill Builder subscription.
So the real question is whether ten hours of structured video is worth paying for when the exam's author gives away an overview and a sample of its question style. For a reader who already works with AWS, the free material may be enough to start. For one who has never used AWS, a course that opens with AWS and cloud computing is the gentler first step, and the free 20-question sets remain a useful extra check.
